Carina A. Ryder, MS, CNM, MSCP

Carina A. Ryder is a dedicated certified nurse-midwife (CNM) with over 25 years of experience in providing exceptional health care to women and others. Carina's extensive background in midwifery and trauma-informed care ensures that every patient receives the personalized care they deserve.

Driven by a profound commitment to exceptional care, she provides gynecological care from adolescence through menopause and beyond. Patients see her as a trusted resource who offers insightful and empathetic support for every stage of life.

As a passionate advocate for health care for all, Carina is an active member of several esteemed organizations, including: 

  • American College of Nurse-Midwives
  • American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology
  • The Menopause Society
  • Bone Health and Osteoporosis Foundation
  • International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health

Her expertise extends beyond her practice. In her role within the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health, she has shared her insights through past service on both the Membership Committee and the Practice Pearls Committee. She currently contributes to the Global Development Committee, helping to advance sexual health knowledge and care. 

In addition to her clinical practice, Carina shares her knowledge and passion for advanced nursing practice and midwifery as an adjunct faculty member at Georgetown University School of Nursing. 

Fluent in English and Spanish, Carina is committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate care. Her warm, approachable demeanor ensures that patients feel comfortable and valued, making every visit a positive experience.

Caitlin Givens, CNM, WHNP-BC, MSCP

Caitlin Givens is a double board-certified women's health nurse practitioner (WHNP) and certified nurse-midwife with over ten years of experience. Originally from Northern California, she has lived in the Washington metropolitan area since 2009.

Her passion for women’s health was sparked during her service as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Northern Senegal, where she witnessed the profound impact of accessible, quality care on women’s lives.

Caitlin specializes in providing trauma-informed, evidence-based care, emphasizing shared decision-making to empower her patients. She stays at the forefront of healthcare advancements by being an active member of several esteemed organizations, including: 

  • American College of Nurse-Midwives
  • The Menopause Society
  • International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health

As an adjunct faculty member in Georgetown University School of Nursing Nurse-Midwifery/Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner graduate program, Caitlin’s dedication to education was recognized with the Excellence in Teaching Award in 2024. 

Fluent in English, Spanish, and French, Caitlin ensures a welcoming and inclusive environment for diverse communities.
